Chapter 15: Polynomial and Rational Functions, Limits, and Derivatives
In this chapter you will learn about polynomial functions. You'll find the zeros of these functions, a generalization of the concept of x-intercept. The techniques they learn will allow them to analyze rational functions, in which f(x) equals a ratio of two polynomials. These ratios can represent average rates of change. The limit is an instantaneous rate of change, called a derivative.
